Vissensa TalksRecognising and celebrating the top MSPs from around the world, a Channel Futures MSP 501 Award ranking is highly prized by those in our industry. With that, we are proud to announce that we have moved up once again, this time rising 22 positions to 278th in the world. We have also climbed up the European ranks from 23rd last year to 21st in the EMEA Ranking for 2023. This is another marker of the constant development and progression we have made as an organisation, and we are happy to see this recognised in the Channel Futures MSP 501 Awards.
The last year has seen plenty of developments in the technological landscape that have had a direct impact on MSPs and how they operate. As pandemic restrictions have fallen away, hybrid working has come to the fore, and with it a wider focus on the benefits of cloud computing. Accompanying this was a greater interest and appreciation for security solutions, and more spending on SMB technology. With the emergence of Automation and AI technologies as well, it has been a very interesting time to be an MSP. Channel Futures captured the profitability of delivering managed services through the collection of EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) for the first time, this year. Previous applicants provided gross profit or gross profit margins, but EBITDA was added to this year’s application form, in a first for technology publications. EBITDA is considered the currency of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and is regarded as the most important measurement of bottom-line performance. Channel Futures MSP 501 survey is evolving beyond a ranking, utilising key data on the state of the MSP market in 2022. In doing so, it highlights solutions, sales and marketing strategies, operational improvements, and customer trends driving growth. It also emphasises the significance of the past 18 months for the future of the IT industry, whilst recognising the monumental role of MSPs in shaping the IT industry.
