Vissensa hacks the Hampshire Business Show!

Vissensa had a great time at one of the best Hampshire business events – The Hampshire Business Show last week. We partnered with our “Chief Hacker” Paul Newton of mental theft, using magic to show how hackers can steal your data. So people come away realising that their data isn’t as secure as they thought it was…

Paul Newton is the creator of MentalTheft and is a Magician, a Mind Reader and a Hypnotist. For years Paul made his living using his skills to entertain and mess with people’s heads at parties, weddings, corporate events and in stage shows.

When stealing PINs and other personal details at a military event, Paul realised the positive impact his skills could have. This was when MentalTheft was born.

Now he uses his skills to help people understand cyber threats and put them in touch with the people and solutions that can keep them safe.

The purpose of our stall was to educate people about the vulnerabilities within their IT networks, and by hooking them with Paul’s mental theft act, we managed to hook people in and begin this dialogue with them.

We had many visitors come to our stall, intrigued by our clouds and the mystique of the messaging. Passers-by were then treated to a display of Paul’s abilities as he then read their mind and showed them that their data was not as secure as they initially believed it to be.

Highlights of the day include talks by Peter Taylor and Brad Burton. Peter Taylor discussed the potential that the city of Southampton presents, and the city’s bid for city of culture 2022.
