Our Technical Team has been busy recently. Beyond their usual duties, they have been hard at work with the marketing team (or should that be put to work!) to get some of their valuable insights written down.

What Should You Be Aware Of?
What Have We Been Up To?
On Thursday 11th July, Vissensa had the pleasure of sponsoring the first LinkedIn-Local Bournemouth get together since the Covid-19 pandemic pushed us all online. The whole idea of LinkedIn-Local is to get to meet with and get to know local working communities in person. The evening, arranged and hosted by the wonderful Beverley Poole, gave us the chance to meet with an inspiring group of people doing fascinating and varied work throughout the wider Bournemouth area.
The theme of the evening was of collaboration, and Vissensa’s offering for attendees, in addition to the canapes, was to show what collaboration tools, such as Microsoft SharePoint, could do for the operations of all organisations.
We took inspiration from key speakers at the event: Krista Cartlidge sharing stories on why she founded MYTIME Young Carers from her time as a primary school teacher; as well as Luke William’s key message to ignore the hype and focus on the tasks to get the most out of what Artificial Intelligence has to offer businesses today.
Held at the Village Hotels Bournemouth, attendees managed to raise £300 in one evening for MYTIME Young Carers. Thank you to all who made it the evening that it was!
Our Next Event
And following on from this success, we will also be exhibiting at the Hampshire Business Show at the Utilita Bowl, Southampton on the 24th of October. We will be talking about all things IT, Cyber Security and Microsoft, so come and see us for a chat.
New Starters
We also are thrilled to welcome Darren to our Sales team. He has joined us as our new Account Manager, and we look forward to him beginning to build some valuable relationships with our customers.
Time Machine – A Look Back
This feeds into the wider success of our business, that has seen a big uptick in our monthly IT service offerings, growing our client base by over 25% this year, helped by our incredibly high customer satisfaction and retention rate.
Our ability to maintain a “Forward Thinking” approach means new technology is front and centre in our proactive support and guidance. And if you want to find out what further influence this can have on your business, please get in touch.
And as we continue to grow, it also gives us a great opportunity to look back on the last year or so.
This past year we have provided more than 20,000 hours of service desk time supporting our clients in the UK and around the world.
Our team is bigger than ever, 7 new recruits have joined us since the start of 2024, with further positions to be filled in the coming months.
And from looking back to looking towards the future. Just before schools closed for the summer holidays, we had the pleasure of Oli joining us for a week of work experience.
Having an experience, such as a week with a company like Vissensa, helps give kids like Oli the chance to learn what it is all about to be part of a team like ours. But rather than reading what we have to say about it, why don’t we just let Oli tell you?
What’s Coming Up?
We are excited to share that we will be running, swimming, cycling & walking the distance from the Swings & Smiles HQ in Thatcham, Berkshire to Düsseldorf, Germany – a total of 415 miles next month!
Vissensa’s collective Triathlon will contribute to the Swings & Smiles Escalator project, from August 19th – September 9th. If we manage to hit our target of £500, our funding will be quadrupled by the project. This is a fantastic opportunity for your charitable donation to go that extra mile and make a real difference in our local community.
