Outbound Sales Representative – Job Description

Due to exciting growth plans, you must be a motivated individual with some experience in lead generation/inside sales within the B2B area, who can confidently find, screen, and contact prospects to create new sales opportunities around IT support and infrastructure.

This could be targeting small to medium businesses around IT support or large enterprise organisations who are looking for experts to implement important IT infrastructure. Therefore, some lead generation experience in the IT industry would be beneficial but not essential.

Essential Role Requirements:

  • To check and enhance data generated from a variety of sources to exclude any duplication with records on the CRM
  • To qualify these prospects to confirm that they match the target company profile (location, turnover, employee numbers)
  • To research and add full contact details (including business name, telephone no, contact name and title) of prospects from sources.
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities by researching target companies and sectors that could require IT support, a managed service or consultancy.

Beneficial Skills

To support the creation of sales opportunities by building relationships with prospects in target companies through email, LinkedIn and telephone communications making initial cold calls as appropriate.

  • This could include:
  • Making initial LinkedIn connection requests and doing the pre-call communications with the prospect
  • Checking LinkedIn daily to act on newly accepted connections and messages.
  • Managing and maintaining a pipeline of prospects
  • Following the sales process for email communications
  • Following up on sector specific email campaigns
  • Adding contacts to nurture email campaigns and then watching for interaction.
  • Making outbound calls Managing inbound calls
  • Make timely responses to any questions from prospects.
