Southampton – Job Description
This is a great opportunity for someone who is up for the challenge of pushing the outbound side of our lead generation plan, working within the marketing and sales team.
Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, the Demand Generation Executive, will be joining an existing experienced team of sales and marketing professionals at an exciting time where the right candidate has the opportunity to stamp their own mark on the sales and marketing operations of this fast growing South Coast IT company that grew their business organically by over 50% during their FY 2022/23.
Due to exciting growth plans, you must be a motivated individual with some experience in lead generation/inside sales within the B2B area, who can confidently find, screen, and contact prospects to create new sales opportunities around IT support and infrastructure. This could be targeting small to medium businesses around IT support or large enterprise organisations who are looking for experts to implement important IT infrastructure. Therefore, some lead generation experience in the IT industry would be beneficial but not essential.

As you will play a pivotal role in setting up and growing the prospecting side of the business, you will be used to working with large quantities of data and organising the CRM database to ensure you follow up and develop the information you gain.
As part of your role, Vissensa will support you in identifying and developing new business prospects, from a wide range of multiple sources including LinkedIn, cold databases, website enquiries, campaign MQLs, anonymous inbound web traffic, networking, email campaign interaction and referrals into qualified warm leads for the sales team.
You will be supported by the rest of the marketing team with written content and collateral as necessary and seamlessly fit within the team dynamic.
Vissensa actively recruit from within for new roles within the business. So, a successful candidate has the ability to progress within the business into a dedicated sales orientated role if desired.
Key Responsibilities
- To check and enhance data generated from a variety of sources to exclude any duplication with records on the CRM
- To qualify these prospects to confirm that they match the target company profile (location, turnover, employee numbers)
- To research and add full contact details (including business name, telephone no, contact name and title) of prospects from sources.
- Proactively seek new business opportunities by researching target companies and sectors that could require IT support, a managed service or consultancy.
- To support the creation of sales opportunities by building relationships with prospects in target companies through email, LinkedIn and telephone communications making initial cold calls as appropriate. This could include:
- Making initial LinkedIn connection requests and doing the pre-call communications with the prospect
- Checking LinkedIn daily to act on newly accepted connections and messages.
- Managing and maintaining a pipeline of prospects
- Following the sales process for email communications
- Following up on sector specific email campaigns
- Adding contacts to nurture email campaigns and then watching for interaction.
- Making outbound calls
- Managing inbound calls
- Make timely responses to any questions from prospects.
Requirements
- Experience of using the Sales Navigator tool within LinkedIn.
- Ideally 3+ years of Outbound experience.
- Driven and motivated with a self-starter attitude.
- Good communicator.
- Good understanding of the sales process.
- Experience working within a B2B sales/lead generation role.
- Ideally some experience within the IT industry.
- Be within a commutable distance to Castle Malwood, Southampton.

Salary: £30,000 basic salary (OTE £45,000)
