International Bar Association Choose Vissensa For Cloud Deployment

Vissensa announces today that it has signed a multiyear agreement with the International Bar Association (IBA) to host and support key aspects of the Association’s computer infrastructure in one of its highly secure UK data centres.

The project included the migration of the IBA’s existing computer equipment to the new data centre location and included the introduction of cloud-based local and remote backup solutions to support the growing user community within the IBA supported by Vissensa.

John Shrives, IT Development Manager for the International Bar Association commented “We felt that Vissensa was very familiar with physical and virtual infrastructure migration, and it was clear that they understood the nature of our business and how a big move such as the one we were contemplating needed a depth of experience, structure and a strong ethos of partnership with the IBA team to ensure the project’s success.”

Mark Jennings, Operations Director for Vissensa said “ We have a number of years’ experience in moving clients to the cloud and this project was typical of a growing requirement to bring some client-owned equipment into a data centre setting while taking advantage of shared services already deployed such as storage, burst compute and networking.”

About the International Bar Association

It now has over 200 bar associations and law societies worldwide and is recognised as the world’s leading organisation of international legal practitioners, bar associations and law societies, influencing the development of international law reform and shaping the future of the legal profession throughout the world.
