Vissensa work with a number of network and wireless vendors who are established suppliers to the education sector. Our own technicians have many years experience in designing, configuring and supporting the equipment of leading network and communications companies such as HP, Brocade, Enterasys, Meru, Aventail, Sonicwall and RSA and have supported mission critical systems including health and finance industry assets.

Vissensa believe that the network should be viewed as one seamless component and the technology that is deployed should provide a transparent layer for the users while deploying an impregnable barrier to all the threats that face networks today. At a network switch and firewall level, Vissensa provide assistance in installing, expanding or upgrading the network or where solutions to network security are required or where aspects of securing a network is causing concern.

Our experience with network monitors and intelligent switches can enable network managers to offer greater flexibility in the access to the campus network for staff or students at specific times. We have seen this work where the students can browse certain websites at break and lunch times but be restricted during lesson times to ensure maximum bandwidth is applied to the learning environment.

Solving many of the wireless access problems

Vissensa is also heavily engaged in solving many of the wireless access problems schools suffer, where the wireless devices either compete for a signal or the signal is lost as staff and students move around. In working closely with the schools ICT and teaching staff, Vissensa understand that staff usually keep their applications open on their laptop while moving between lessons to cut down the start / end of lesson disruption.  We see may cases where staff loose the signal and have to log back on, a waste of time and a frustration of staff which can be simply and completely solved.

Alongside the physical infrastructure, Vissensa are able to supply and install the latest network software products from WAN acceleration, antivirus and monitoring to network policy management, secure authentication and access and integrated communications using IP phones.
